Our Story

2021 was the year for our owner Steph to take her life in a different direction and put all her expertise, knowledge and skills into practice.

From this, her very own shop Riverside Animal Supplies, was born on the family farm.

With almost 20 years experience in the pet, equine and farm industry starting as a Saturday girl and working her way through the levels right up to General Manager there isn't a lot she doesn't now know about feeds and animal care.

Steph has always been involved with animals having many pets growing up as well as being involved with animals on the family farm. 

After school she went on to do a BTEC National Diploma in Animal Health & Welfare. After this it was off to the University of Leeds to study Zoology (Animal Science) BSc. This is where she developed a keen interest in animal nutrition.

Steph has also undertaken university equivalent exams to become a qualified Animal Health Advisor so she can advise and prescribe animal medicines. She very proudly achieved the highest score in the country for her exams that year!

The goal at Riverside Animal Supplies is to provide customers with top-quality pet supplies as well as good advice and exceptional service.

The joy and satisfaction of seeing pet owners with their animals is extremely rewarding. We want as many people as possible to feel the way we do about animals, so we want to work with our customers to educate them, and provide them with everything they and their pets need for a fantastic life together.
